The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the govt of India that’s headquartered in New Delhi ensures the implementation of the principles and regulations of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, commonly called FSSAI. In India, any person starting with a food business must have a food license or a registration from FSSAI. TYPES OF FSSAI FOOD LICENSES

Three different types of food licenses are issued by the Food Safety and Security Association of India; they’re as follows:

1)    BASIC FSSAI REGISTRATION

Small business operators – manufacturers, storage units, and retailers can obtain this basic FSSAI registration. it’s issued by the government for a minimum period of 1 year and a maximum of 5 years. T

2)    STATE FSSAI LICENSE

business operators having an annual turnover of more than 12 lakhs are issued this license. Small and medium-sized manufacturers, storage units,  must have the state FSSAI license issued. it’s a minimum validity of 1 year and a maximum of 5 years

3)      CENTRAL FSSAI LICENSE

Food businesses having an annual turnover of more r than 20 crores are issued this license. Large manufacturers, government agencies, seaports, etc. got to get a central FSSAI license issued. This license is issued by the central government, and therefore the minimum tenure of this license is one year, while the utmost is five years.
