YouTuber Murad Merali is under criticism this week after a plethora of his earlier videos resurfaced and became to the top of Twitter.
According to The Tab, the 26-year-old has been slammed after previous posts were seen to be a levelling off of his love for black and Asian males.
In a brand new video, the social media star has accepted responsibility but has denied posting all of these “derogatory comments” confirmed inside the images.
Who is Murad Merali?
Murad Merali is a medical psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist. He is also a YouTuber and property investor from London.
The 26-year-old is a subscriber to 298,000 through his YouTube channel Murad Merali. On where he shares reviews reactions, lifestyle films, and even discussions.
While he has films on the latest information topics, the majority part of the show is devoted to British actuality TV’s the current Love Island. In the course of Love Island’s latest season, he broadcast daily films about what was happening in the current time and conducted interviews with many of the top cast stars.
In addition, he recently posted his thoughts regarding Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s breakup.
Merali has more than 69,000 people following him on Instagram He hosts his own podcast and also has a YouTube channel.
Murad Merali apologizes on YouTube
In a video uploaded on the 10th of August 2022 titled Affronting My Past YouTubers tackled social media’s backlash.
Merali began the video with a cut-off warning, informing viewers that the material contained in the video would become “emotional” and added each part needed to be addressed by “immediate effect”.
“First and foremost, the written content is not me,” he said. “The negative feedback isn’t made by me. I’ll stand by it and say that this is not who I am.
“Some of this content is also not me and I can profusely apologise and take full accountability for how this has come across and how everybody has felt.”
Merali was later able to admit “some of the content” was written by him, but you can add “not now, not recently” and then assured them that he wouldn’t be who he is in 2022.
YouTuber claims “vile” language wasn’t written by him
Merali continued to state that, while he took the responsibility for many of the content materials, however, some of the captions that were degrading weren’t composed by him and were fabricated.
“These pictures, as well as the screenshots of these images and the vile racist language that was used not my work. This was not written in my name,” the man said. “I did not write this stuff.”
The 26-year-old spoke of how people produced gruelling images and captions in order to express or their individual “satisfaction”. The 26-year-old spoke about the need for it to be made “abundantly clear” with “full force” and “immediately”.
In the second part in the second half of his video, YouTuber admitted his abuse as a teen and then was able to develop a “foot fetish” to generate income and help get out of the dark place.
“I must be honest. Transparency is required from me, and that’s what everyone deserves,” he talked.
